ABOUT TIFFANY BY TIFFANY

I practice yoga to slow down from the busy outside world. To remind myself it is not a race. The practice connects me back to who I truly am, without ego, and then I try to step back into the world from an authentic place.

I teach yoga to share what I know and believe works: creating more awareness as we hurry through life to pause and see the beauty in each and every thing, and in each and every one of us. Yoga is the art of paying attention. The physical practice is an entry to the boundless teachings that yoga offers.

SUNDAY SERIES: MINDFUL EATING with CHRISTY CURTIS

2017-10-04_DSC_9365_byPaulCook (2) (1).jpg

Stop the rush! Emotional eating? Mindless grazing? Skipping meals and ignoring hunger? Eating when already full? If any of these habits sound familiar, explore a new relationship with food as this workshop unfolds the basic principals of eating with awareness and intention. Tools to help manage weight, enjoy the food on your plate, and decrease stressful stigma associated with food.  Mindfulness practices will serve as the foundation to your path to optimal health.

About Christy:

Christy Curtis received her Masters of Arts in Education with an emphasis in educational administration from the University of Redlands. As a former athlete and school educator for the past 17 years, she has been instrumental in the current implementation of yoga and mindfulness into Orange County public education. Christy has focused her instruction specifically on the study of stress reduction through the practice of mindfulness. She participated in and completed the UMass Center for Mindfulness MBSR Fundamentals in MBSR, taught by Senior Teachers at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at UMASS Medical School. She has recently completed the Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) program with registered dietitian and MB-EAT instructor Andrea Leiberstein.

As a dedicated practitioner of various mind-body disciplines, and yoga instructor, she is committed to a path of insight and deeper understanding. Christy attends yearly silent retreats, worldly travel and trainings. She has been able to share the foundation principles of mindfulness with teens, professional athletes, educators, corporate executives, and more. Her teachings serve as practical tools to help others wake up to aspects of life that have been overshadowed by a loss of awareness. Looking outside of oneself for a quick-fix results in disconnection, disruptive habits, behaviors, and living life on auto-pilot. Practices learned through mindfulness restore a sense of balance and well-being which allows for the process of personal rediscovery with more compassion and non-judgmental awareness.

Date: Sundays, March 11th, 18th, & 25th
Time: 1:30pm - 2:45pm

Entire Series: $90
Drop-In: $35 per Session

HEALING DREAM SOUND EXPERIENCE with JOHANNA ANGODUNG

image3.JPG

By combining different instruments (gongs, meditaion bowls, etc.) Johanna (Gian Shakti Kaur) will facilitate your entry into delta brainwave frequency.

In the Delta state you are sound asleep. Delta waves are the slowest of all five brainwave frequencies and range between 0-4 Hz. Slow Wave Sleep (SWS), is the deepest of sleep states and it plays a vital role in your health and well-being. During this phase of the sleep cycle, the brain produces very slow, large Delta waves.

Even without the luxury of a full eight hours of sleep, a short time in the Delta state will leave you feeling refreshed and restored. Delta brainwave programs are an ideal choice for accessing your sub-conscious to facilitate deep and powerful reprogramming. Delta waves trigger the release of Human Growth Hormone (HGH), making deep sleep essential for healing and regeneration.

It is when we are deeply relaxed that our body heals itself!
