Shannon found yoga in 2008 and fell in love with the peace of mind and utter bliss she experienced during her fist class.
Shannon’s other passion in life is service work. She and her family have been doing non-profit work in Africa and Belize every year since 2006 with a focus on education, clean water, and cross cultural community building, as well as, serving the homeless communities of Los Angeles and Orange County.
Yoga has only proved to enhance her spiritual life and one day Shannon realized that sharing yoga with others is another way that she is being called to serve. She had already been leading small yoga classes for kids in Belize and fellow volunteers to warm up their bodies before swim lessons based on the knowledge of her own practice, but now it was time to get serious.
Shannon completed the CorePower Yoga 200-hr certification in Power Vinyasa in 2010, Restorative/Yin Yoga training in December 2011 and completed her 500-hr certification through YogaWorks Professional Teacher Training Program in April 2014 and continues to grow in her personal practice and love of yoga.
She hopes to open the hearts and minds, as well as, the bodies of all she has the privilege to guide in the journey that is our yoga practice.
